Biking the Dike

There are options for biking in Washougal that will appeal to biking novices and experts alike! Before you head out on your trek, you might want to go shop or grab a breakfast at a downtown restaurant. Check out the Discover Guide for many great options.

The Dike trail is about three miles one way and follows the Columbia River from Steamboat Landing Park to the border of the Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge. This trail is open year round with access to restroom facilities at Captain William Clark Park and no fees to pay for access to the trail. Find out more HERE.

Cape Horn Hike

In and around Washougal, you can find many great hikes for your enjoyment. The Cape Horn loop hike allows for up to 8.3 miles of beautiful scenic views along with a variety of bird, wildflower and waterfall viewing.

Grab some breakfast, coffee or snacks to take with you on the hike using your Washougal Discover Guide before heading out east of Washougal on Highway 14. The Cape Horn Trailhead is located at the Skamania County Transit Park & Ride lot near milepost 26. There are restroom facilities at the trailhead and no fees to pay for access to the trail.
